About the Role
As the Data Protection Officer / Privacy Legal Counsel at Tele2 Sweden AB, you will play a pivotal and relatively independent role within the organization. This position provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with teams across all levels, both strategically and operationally. You will be part of the Corporate Affairs team, reporting directly to the Head of Legal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the framework for managing personal data across the organization.
- Provide expert, strategic privacy advice on data protection matters, including data protection impact assessments, audits, incident response plans, policy and procedure development, and training.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations by conducting regular audits and risk assessments, focusing on GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.
- Design and deliver GDPR and privacy training programs, while monitoring changes in relevant regulations.
- Act as the main point of contact between Tele2 Sweden and relevant authorities, such as the Swedish Data Protection Authority (IMY) and the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS).
- Collaborate with various functions and leadership teams across Tele2 to proactively identify and resolve data privacy issues at the early stages of new projects and business initiatives.

To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, with a degree in law or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of GDPR and the associated legal and regulatory landscape, preferably with experience in the telecom sector.
- Familiarity with information security issues is a plus.
- A basic understanding of telecom network processes, IT systems, and business operations is desirable, though not essential.
- Experience in leading workshops or training sessions.
- Exceptional communication skills in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
