Corporate Compliance Officer to MilDef

As part of our continued growth and development, we are now seeking a Corporate Compliance Officer.

As Corporate Compliance Officer, your main responsibility is to ensure and develop MilDef’s trade compliance program within the framework of our identified focus area of Ethical Business Conduct.

You will be part of the Legal and Compliance department, working closely with the business and collaborating extensively across various functions within the organization. You will primarily focus on analyzing risks in the value chain and ensuring MilDef has effective internal processes in place. This includes implementing internal rules and procedures, driving change initiatives, monitoring compliance, reporting deviations, and conducting training sessions to improve employee awareness and skills.

You will also ensure that MilDef complies with regulations in areas such as anti-corruption, export controls, customs, sanctions, human rights and sustainability.

You will report to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.

About You

We are looking for someone with a law degree or equivalent academic background.

Given that MilDef is a rapidly growing organization, it is essential that you have a strong ability to lead and manage change and implementation projects. We are in a phase of rapid growth where the focus is on building and developing, rather than maintaining an already established structure.

To succeed and thrive in this role, you need to be structured and analytical, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while working independently, prioritizing effectively, and achieving your goals. You are a humble individual with excellent communication and pedagogical skills. A strong business acumen combined with executional ability is essential. We also value experience in corporate compliance areas such as anti-corruption, export control, competition law, AML, GDPR, human rights and sustainability. Fluency in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing, is a requirement.
